Staffordshire squirrels clock group

Victorian, circa 1860. 10.2ins high, 6.3ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Staffordshire clock group which features a clock with three squirrels, seated on a shaped base. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.



Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Slight rubbing to gilt.





KILN EFFECTS: small firing hole to one squirrel's face;



over glazed chip to the reverse of one tail.



RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack though clock face running on to the reverse.







Retouched paint losses to ground and two squirrel's tails.
