Staffordshire Zebra figure

Victorian, circa 1860. 8.3ins high, 6.3ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a zebra, stood on a circular base.



Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Maker's marks to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Chip to the reverse at base edge.



Slight rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to the zebra's chest and back.





RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to front of base.



Stabilised and retouched hairline to right hind leg.
