pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 5.5ins high, 4.7ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware bocage group which features a ewe and lamb, stood on a circular base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Condition
Generally good. Chips to leaves.
Some small flakes to shredded clay.
KILN EFFECTS: faint, over glazed shrinkage line to the lamb's back.
RESTORATION. Remodelled ewe's left ear. Filled chip to ewe's right ear.
Retouched flakes to bocage, which is 90% original material.
