Staffordshire Samuel Alcock dog

Victorian, circa 1840. 2.5ins high, 5.6ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Alcock Staffordshire figure which features a dog, possibly a Mastiff, recumbent on a shaped hollow base. Black and white version. Dull gilt base line.





Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Maker's marks to the underside.

CONDITION: Generally good. Small flake to right ear.



RESTORATION: old restoration to the front left and hind right leg.
