Staffordshire lion figure
Victorian, circa 1880. 9.4ins high, 10.8ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a lion, recumbent on an oblong base.
Multi-coloured version. Bright gilt base line.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Small flake to base edge at reverse.
Rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to lion's face and mane;
shrinkage crack below tail;
network of shrinkage hairlines to underside of base with one running up reverse of base.
