Staffordshire cottage with dog & water pump

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.1ins high, 6.3ins wide, 2.9ins depth. Staffordshire porcellaneous cottage with a pastoral theme which features a dog sitting in a doorway, stood on an oval base. Multi-coloured version.





Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated only to the front.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. A few paint losses to the balls on the shredded clay.



Rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: tiny firing pits to the glaze;





kiln soot caught in the glaze;



shrinkage line to roof and underside of base.
