Victorian, circa 1850. 5.5ins high, 6.1ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Staffordshire porcellaneous pastille burner which features a church decorated in flowers, stood on a rectangular base.
White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition
CONDITION: Fair. Chips to some of the flowers and leaves and one to the lower base edge.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: two shrinkage cracks to lower base edge and one to the base of the church;
shrinkage lines to the top of the base and another two to the underside;
kiln grit and soot caught in the glaze to the ground.
RESTORATION: Old Restoration includes the remodelling of the top section of the church tower and all of the turrets and filled chips to the roof.
