Staffordshire flower basket spaniel
Victorian, circa 1860. 6.5ins high, 3.9ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a spaniel with a flower basket, seated on a cobalt blue base.
White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. A few tiny paint losses to the flowers.
Rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application to the cobalt base;
shrinkage crack to the bottom of the flower basket;
tiny glaze pops to the cobalt base;
piece of kiln detritus caught inside causing piece to rattle.
RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to dog's muzzle and nose.
