Staffordshire Pearlware fox stirrup cup

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 3.5ins high, 4.2ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware stirrup cup with a hunting theme which features a fox head, stood directly on the ground, no base.



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Generally good.

Bruise to rim.



Some small paint losses.





Slight wear to underside and nose.





KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the rim.





RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to ear tips and orange rim.













Stabilised and retouched hairline to the rim.
