Staffordshire lilac two piece cottage pastille burner

Victorian, circa 1860. 4ins high, 3.2ins wide, 4ins depth. Staffordshire pastille burner which features a two storey cottage with three chimneys, resting on an oval hollow detachable base.





Lilac version. Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent holes are present.

Condition

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to the reverse and front.





Filled chip to left chimney and flake to middle chimney.







Base: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the ground.





RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched two hairlines to the front of the base.











Filled chips to flowers.
