Large Kent Staffordshire hen on nest tureen

Edwardian, circa 1910. 9.6ins high, 12.6ins wide, 8.4ins depth. Kent Staffordshire egg tureen and cover which features a hen sitting with her eggs, resting on a basketweave oval base. Multi-coloured version.



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Hen: Very good. No restoration.

Nest: Good. No restoration.

Slight wear to the rim.





KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.
