Staffordshire leaping stag, swan & dogs spill vase

Victorian, circa 1860. 11.4ins high, 7.1ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire spill vase which features a stag leaping over a bridge,
with a swan on the stream below, and two dogs leaping up at the stag, stood on an oval base.



Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing to the front base edge;



glaze run to the stream.



RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched crack to base





and over arch, still slightly visible to front.

and base of spill reglued and join retouched.







Filled chip to top of spill.





Paint loss has been retouched.
