Pair Staffordshire deer with bocage figures
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. Tallest is 5.9ins high, 4.3ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire pearlware bocage figures with a pastoral theme which feature Deer,
stood on an oval hollow base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Right facing: Generally good.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to bocage leaves and flowers (approx. 60% original still intact).
Filled chip to tail.
Filled chip to left ear.
Retouched flake to nose.
Left facing: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application to green leaves in places;
shrinkage crack along the mold join to neck;
shrinkage crack to tree stump on the reverse.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to bocage leaves and flowers (90% still original and intact).
