Staffordshire Sailor Figure
Victorian, circa 1860. 12.8ins high, 5.6ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a maritime theme which features a sailor, stood on a shaped base. Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
Good. A few paint losses to his shirt.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to his shoes, belt, tie and hair;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to trousers;
craze lines to the neck.
RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to his left shoe, belt, tie and hair.
