Pair Staffordshire russet flower basket spaniels
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 7.9ins high, 4.9ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel holding a basket of flowers in it's mouth,
seated directly on the ground, no base.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Good.
Flake to tail.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the front and reverse.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to tail.
Retouched paint losses markings,
paws
and
eyebrows.
Left facing: Generally good.
Tight hairline to the underside.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairlines to the reverse.
Filled chip to front left paw.
