Pair Staffordshire horses & foal figures

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 8.3ins high, 5.7ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire spill vases which feature a horse standing in front of a stream,
with it's foal, recumbent on a shaped base.



Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good.

Under rim chip not visible when sat on a surface.



KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage lines to the horse's head.



RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to ground,

Left facing: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing, some stained.









RESTORATION. Foal's head reglued and join retouched.



Stabilised and retouched hairline to horse's right front leg (at the reverse).
