Victorian, circa 1870. 12ins high, 4.3ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a maritime theme which features the Prince of Wales, dressed in a sailor outfit, stood on a shaped base. Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition
Generally good. A few paint losses to the ground.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to underside;
kiln grit caught in the glaze to his top lip and neck;
tiny glaze pops to his hair;
touch mark to the reverse of his left arm;
shrinkage line along the mold join to both legs.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack running through his hat (still slightly visible).
Retouched paint losses to his scabbard and left shoe.
