Victorian, circa 1840. 2.8ins high, 5.4ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware stirrup cup with a hunting theme which features a brown and white hound's head, resting directly on the ground, no base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to just above right eyebrow;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the face and ears.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
Filled chips and retouched flakes to ears, below right ear and to rim.
Retouched paint losses to rim, one eye and muzzle.
