Staffordshire Disraeli Flower basket spaniel

Victorian, circa 1860. 7.7ins high, 5.1ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a spaniel holding a basket of flowers in it's mouth, seated directly on the ground, no base.



Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt embellishment.







Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.



Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Two small flakes to the lower base edge.



KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse.





RESTORATION: Filled chips to front of flower basket



and one to tail.





Stabilised and retouched hairline to both sides of nose.





Retouched paint losses to nose, muzzle



and paws.
