pre-Victorian, circa 1820. Tallest is 8.7ins high, 3.3ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire pearlware figures which feature an elderly lady and gentleman,
him with crutches, her with a walking stick, stood on a square hollow base.
Black painted base line. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

CONDITION: Female: Generally good.
Tiny chips to shredded clay.
A few tiny flakes around the base
and one to headscarf.
Slight wear to reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the upper base edge at front.
RESTORATION: filled chip and re-touched flakes to side of base;
right arm reglued and joins (shoulder and top of walking stick) retouched;
filled chip to nose.
Male: Generally good.
Some tiny flakes around the base

Some paint losses to waistcoat,
shoe
and coat.
RESTORATION: left arm and crutch reglued and joins retouched.
