Large Pair Staffordshire recumbent Disraeli whippets

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 7.9ins high, 10.5ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures with a hunting theme which feature a Disraeli whippet with a dead hare
(the curls represent Disraeli's, elected Prime Minister 1868 and Queen Victoria’s favourite), recumbent on an oval base.



Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.







Vent hole to the underside.

CONDITION: Right facing: Generally good.

Small flake to dog's back.



Slight wear to dog's nose and body.









Some rubbing to gilt.





RESTORATION: dog's front right paw remodelled;



retouched paint losses to base;
