Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 14.6ins high, 11ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base. Dull gilt collar and locket.
Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.
Condition
Right facing: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
shrinkage crack to the tail.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to the front base edge.
Retouched paint losses to paws, muzzle and eyes.
Left facing: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing and craze line to reverse of head;
piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the hind left leg.
