Pair Staffordshire cow & calf spill vases
Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 10.7ins high, 8.1ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire spill vases which feature a cow with
her calf beside a stream in front of spill,
stood on a shaped base.
Bright gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration.
Some small flakes to spill rim.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to the calf's stomach.
Left facing: Good. No restoration.
A few paint losses to spill rim.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze accumulation to the cow's chin;
shallow firing crack to the cow's neck.
