Staffordshire copper lustre parted fringe spaniel

Victorian, circa 1860. 11.2ins high, 9.1ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a spaniel, front leg molded free, seated directly on the ground, no base.





Copper lustre version. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Chip to the underside of the left front paw.



Paint loss to left eye.



KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse and right front paw;





glaze pops to ears;





shrinkage line along the mold join to the spaniel's chest and to reverse.
