Sherratt Staffordshire Pearlware Cow & Serpent figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1830. 7.1ins high, 6.7ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Obadiah Sherratt Staffordshire figure which features a cow
being bitten by a snake, stood on an oval rainbow base.



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.









Vent holes are present.

CONDITION: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: craze line to the top of the tail.





RESTORATION. Remodelled right ear, horn





and tops of middle and left branch.





Right branch reglued and join retouched.





Filled chips to base edge.













Retouched flake to cow's back.
