Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, front leg molded free, seated directly on the ground, no base.
Copper lustre version. Decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.
Maker's marks to the underside.
Condition
Right facing: Good. No restoration. Some wear to the reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the top of right front leg;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse and tail.
Left facing: Generally good. No restoration. Chip to right front paw.
Some wear to the reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the left front paw;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse.
