pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 4.9ins high, 4.6ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Staffordshire Prattware money box which features a cottage flanked by a lady and a gentleman, with two children's heads peeping out of the upstairs windows, directly on the ground, no base. Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack between gentleman and cottage;
some staining to craze lines to gentleman and cottage.
