Staffordshire sheep spill vase

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.1ins high, 4.1ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Staffordshire spill vase with a pastoral theme which features a sheep, stood on a circular base.





Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Small chip to the underside.



Slight rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base.





RESTORATION: Old restoration; Top of spill.





Filled chip to left ear.
