Staffordshire spaniel & pups inkwell
Victorian, circa 1860. 3ins high, 4.8ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire inkwell which features a spaniel and her pups, recumbent on a cobalt blue base.
Russet, black and white version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good.
Tight hairline to inside of inkwell.
A few paint losses to the black markings.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the mother spaniel's tail
and right front leg;
shrinkage line to the top puppy's left hind leg.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline to underside
and reverse of spaniel.
Retouched paint loss to russet markings.
Mother spaniel's right front paw remodelled.
