Matched Pair Staffordshire children&Afghan hounds

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 13.6ins high, 9.8ins wide, 4.5ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a child stood next to an oversized Afghan hound, seated on a rectangular base.

We think they have possibly been matched up together at some stage because they are of significantly different sizes.
White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.
