Pair Staffordshire St. Bernards with glass eyes
Victorian, circa 1890. Tallest is 9.3ins high, 12.6ins wide, 6.3ins depth. Pair of Bo'ness Staffordshire figures which feature a St. Bernard, stood directly on the ground, no base. Tan and cream version. Bright gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent holes to the underside.

Condition
Right facing: Very good. No restoration.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to dog's back;
over glazed shrinkage line to chest
and left front leg.
Left facing: Very good. No restoration.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the left hind paw;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to body.
