Victorian, circa 1880. 22ins high, 11.8ins wide, 12.2ins depth. Staffordshire stick or whip stand with a hunting theme which features a pair of riding boots stood on a horse shoe,
decorated with a horse, whip and other hunting paraphernalia, stood directly on the ground, no base.
Multi-coloured version. Bright gilt base line. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Maker's marks to the underside.
Condition
CONDITION: Generally good. Tight hairline to the rim.
Some wear to the rim.
Rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage lines to the interior.
RESTORATION: Boots reglued at the ankle and join retouched.
Large filled chip to base edge.
Retouched paint loss and scratches to the boots, ground and decorative pictures.
