Large Staffordshire cottage pastille burner
Victorian, circa 1860. 11.2ins high, 6.4ins wide, 3.8ins depth. Staffordshire pastille burner which features a two storey cottage with single chimney, stood on a shaped base. Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Flatback, decorated only to the front.

Condition
Generally good. Chip to shredded clay to roof edge and one to the lower base edge at the side.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the shredded clay, to under side of roof edge and either side of front door;
touch mark to side of base;
staining to craze lines to reverse.
RESTORATION: retouched paint losses to ground and leaves;
retouched bruise to reverse of chimney;
remodelled sections to shredded clay on roof.
