Staffordshire swans & cygnets spill vase

Victorian, circa 1860. 4.7ins high, 5.5ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Staffordshire spill vase which features swans and cygnets, resting on a shaped base.

Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: shallow firing crack to the spill interior.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched three shrinkage cracks to base.

Filled chip to swan's tail feathers.

Retouched paint loses to cygnet's beak.
