Staffordshire Pearlware Musicians Cornucopia spill vase

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 9.1ins high, 6.7ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware spill vase with a musical theme which features a lady and gentleman playing musical instruments, with two shells, a dog and a sheep, recumbent on an oval base.





Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Abrasion to end of sheep's nose.



Small flakes to right hand side of base.



RESTORATION. Reverse section of spill vase remodelled.





Filled chip to right of spill vase.



Ladies right arm remodelled.



Parts of trumpet remodelled.
