Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in cross stitch and Algerian eye.
Meandering floral border.
Colours brown, green, copper, gold, cream and grey.
Signed and dated 'Elizabeth Stott 1799'.
A good set of motifs, including potted flowering plants, an owl, stars, an angel, and a crown.
CONDITION: Generally good. A few small holes.
A few stains.
Stitch losses to the motifs and border.
One loose thread.
Colours are slightly faded, but still well defined.
Very slight colour run around the green threads to the border.
Stretching is slightly uneven.
Frame in good condition, ready to hang.
