Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing.
The sampler is worked in silk and cotton on linen ground, in a variety of stitches.
Meandering floral border.
Colours red, cream, light brown, gold, black, pink, blue and greens.
Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case.
Verse reads
'The modest fnow-drop emblem of fair truth
Conveys this lesson to the thoughtlefs youth
That unaffuming worth will ever find
A warm reception in a generous mind'.
