
Queen Anne, dated 1707. 17ins by 8ins wide. 1707 Lord's Prayer Sampler by Mary Barry.
Framed in an old wood frame with glass. Stitched to card with wood backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout.
No border. Colours yellow, pale blue, pale green, light brown, red and pink. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-23.

CONDITION: Good. No holes. No stains other than uniform age darkening of the ground.
No stitch losses. Colours are mostly good and strong with no noticeable fading. No colour run. Stretching is very slightly uneven.
Frame showing some wear, but is structurally sound and in our opinion could be hung 'as is'.
