Victorian, circa 1880. 5.9ins high, 10.2ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Thomas Sergent Majolica tureen with cover which features a basket weave ground and three fish forming the handle.
Colouration: ochre, puce, blue, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Thomas Sergent pottery.

CONDITION: Cover: Good. No restoration. Some small flakes to fish.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the ground.
Base: Good. No restoration. Small chips to flange.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior and exterior.
