Majolica oyster plate
Victorian, circa 1875. 9.6ins high, 9.6ins wide, 0.8ins depth. Majolica oyster plate which features six shell shaped wells alternately coloured.
Colouration: turquoise, lilac, brown, are predominant.
Condition
CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Some flakes to the rim.
Slight wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the rim;
small firing holes to interior;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to one of the shells.
