Majolica Palissy putti on rocks vase

Victorian, circa 1890. 12.4ins high, 8.7ins wide, 7.1ins depth. French Palissy Majolica vase which features a putti on a rocky outcrop with shells attached, holding on to a vase.



Colouration: cream, blue, green, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Hairline to rim on vase.





Small chip to tip of one shell.



Some small flakes to waves,







rocks and putti's left hand.



KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the putti.
