Victorian, circa 1869. 8.1ins high, 6.1ins wide, 4.7ins depth. George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features a branch handle,
with apple blossom branching off on either side and a basket weave border to bottom.
Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, brown, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3503 80'.
English diamond registration mark for the date 25/02/1869.
Condition
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Lid absent, original hinge fitments remain.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the exterior.
