Minton Majolica floral cup and leaf-like saucer
Victorian, circa 1877. 3ins high, 5.9ins wide, 6ins depth. Mintons Majolica cup & saucer which features white flowers and green leaves.
Colouration: green, brown, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mintons pottery. Bears a pattern number, '42'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1877.
Condition
CONDITION: Cup: Generally good.
Bruise to rim.
Tight hairline to rim (not visible to exterior).
RESTORATION. End of foot reglued and join retouched.
Saucer: Good. No restoration.
Small flake to one snail foot.
Slight wear to interior.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to rim.
