Minton Majolica turquoise bamboo teapot
Victorian, circa 1877. 7.9ins high, 7.1ins wide, 4.9ins depth. Minton Majolica teapot which features bamboo
decoration and handle.
Colouration: turquoise, ochre, yellow, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '619'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1877.
Condition
CONDITION: Teapot: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to exterior;
some glaze run to the ochre glazes.
RESTORATION: filled chip to spout;
handle reglued and the two joins retouched.
Cover: Very good. No restoration.
