Wedgwood Majolica dancing putti with angels compote

Victorian, circa 1866. 3.4ins high, 12ins wide, 12ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica compote which features four panels with dancing putti. Panels separated by angels with outstretched arms and wings spread wide around the rim.



Colouration: brown, ochre, green, are predominant.





English diamond registration mark for the date 23/08/1865. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1866.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Light scratches from use.





KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to the underside of the rim.



RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
