Victorian, circa 1877. 6.9ins high, 13ins wide, 8.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica game pie dish which features a partridge finial and rabbits and hare decoration to the sides.
Turquoise ground version. Colouration: green, turquoise, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3516 y'. English diamond registration mark for the date ??/12/????.

Condition
CONDITION: Cover: Generally good. Small flake to ground.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to the rim.
Beak reglued and join retouched.
Filled under rim chip.
Dish: Good. Short, tight hairline to rim.
Some small flakes to handles and leaves.
KILN EFFECTS: stained crazing to the handles;
two small over glazed chips to the inner rim.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched firing crack to the interior, running 6 inches around the bottom.
