Rare Minton Majolica Ivy hanging basket

Victorian, circa 1880. 15.4ins high, 7.5ins wide, 6.3ins depth. Minton Majolica hanging basket which features a nest and a rope handle covered in ivy.



Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

Some small flakes to leaves.







KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the green and bown glaze.











RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to rope handle.





Stabilised and retouched hairline to very top of rope handle (underneath ivy loop).







Remodelled leaves to underside.





Retouched chips and flakes to ivy.
