Massier Majolica Cockerel/Rooster vase

Victorian, circa 1900. 12.8ins high, 7.9ins wide, 5.9ins depth. Delphin Massier Majolica spill vase which features a cockerel/rooster stood in front of the vase modelled in the form of a corn cob.





Colouration: ochre, grey, puce, are predominant.







The piece bears maker's marks for the Delphin Massier pottery.





Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Some small flakes to base edge and comb.









RESTORATION. Remodelled tip of leaf on spill.





Stabilised and retouched hairline to left ankle.



Filled chips to comb, wattle, spill rim, leaf on ground and ground.
