Victorian, circa 1890. 4.7ins high, 4.7ins wide, 2ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate
which features a snake, moth and frog.

Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Flake to underside of rim,

and to moth's left antennae.

Some tiny flakes to shredded clay.

RESTORATION: Filled chips to moth's wings

and foot rim.

Retouched flakes to shredded clay

and moth's right antennae.
