Victorian, circa 1880. 5.7ins high, 8.3ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica teapot which features a winged cherub to the lid, which sits in a rowing boat which forms the opening to the top of the teapot.
Colouration: cobalt blue, brown, cream, are predominant.
Condition
CONDITION: Cover: Generally good. RESTORATION. Both arms and right wing reglued and joins retouched.
Filled chip to left foot.
Filled chip to flange.
Teapot: Very good. No restoration. Slight wear to rim of boat.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the cobalt blue and brown glazes.
